We are obligated to separate plastic waste from other waste, so it can be recycled. Every municipality does it in his own way. Of course it is good for the environment, but it does ask extra effort from people.
Take Utrecht for example. City council put 29 containers on the streets neas shoppin malls where people can deliver their plastic waste. That's smart thinking, but it means people need to take an extra garbage bin in house for plastic waste. A bin they have to buy themselves. So it cost some time, extra effort and money. Do we bother, even if it is better for the environment?
I wonder if the government looked across borders, because I can't believe we are the first country in the world separating plastic. How do they do it in your country?
